Anyone who has seen a loved one slip into that deep, dark place, known as Alzheimer’s, will tell what a terrible disease it is. Not only does it rob individuals of their memories, but it also breaks the hearts of their families too.
Residents with Alzheimer’s and/or dementia at Lutheran Crossings are cared for within a secure, home-like environment. Special care is taken to learn individual temperaments in order to best meet their daily needs. Our care team provides compassion and a supportive, yet safe, atmosphere with equal access to quality care. Showing respect to residents, the staff encourages them to make their own choices, whenever possible. Planned group activities and a structured daily routine provide a familiar and meaningful quality of life.
Caregiving for an ailing or aging loved one at home is a full time job. It’s okay to take some time for yourself.
Lutheran Crossings offers caregivers the opportunity for temporary relief from the intensive demands of caring for their loved one. Whether you just need the weekend (or longer) to recharge, attend to personal needs, or travel, we offer short-term, on-site assisted living or 24-hour nursing care.
