Lutheran Crossings residents have a busier schedule than most, as they fill their days with crafting, movies, exercise classes, pet visits, bingo, attending frequent outings, and celebrating residents’ birthdays at restaurants in the community. Not only do they enjoy a wide variety of activities with fellow residents, but also with visiting family members and friends. Everyone is invited to participate.
To encourage a social atmosphere, both structured and spontaneous activities occur on each nursing care unit. Special occasions and holidays are also celebrated with themed dining, family picnics, and open houses. From morning ‘til night, there is round-the-clock opportunities for residents to socialize throughout the campus and community.
Located centrally within Lutheran Crossings is a full service salon, a comprehensive library with access to computers, a movie theatre with daily movie selections. There is also a Bistro with grab-and-go food selections and an ice cream parlor – offering free ice cream to residents.
St. Luke’s Chapel is located just off our Main Lobby and is open daily for prayer. Non-denominational worship is held Sunday mornings at 10:30am. Additional special services are held throughout the year. All residents, families, and staff are welcome to worship in the Chapel. The Chaplain offers pastoral care, Bible study, Holy Communions and hospital visits for all residents and staff.
Dining rooms are located on each nursing care unit and are a common meeting place for socializing. Daily menus are prepared by a certified dietician offering several entrée choices that appeal to a variety of palates with special attention to dietary needs. Family and friends are encouraged to visit and are welcome to dine with residents.
